Adjusted hazard ratios for PFS are 0.76 [95% CI, 0.43-1.40] and 0.64 [0.25-1.63] for Ile Val and Val Val, respectively ; Table 4; Figure 2 ; . Through a test of interaction between the effects of treatment arm and genotype on PFS, this difference in response between the 3 genotypes was found to be significant P .008 ; . A similar though nonsignificant pattern was seen for overall survival adjusted hazard ratios for OS for Ile Ile, Ile Val and Val Val genotypes are 0.40 [95% CI, 0.23-0.72], 1.00 [95% CI, 0.52-1.93], and 0.67 [95% CI, 0.20-2.16]; P .064 for interaction ; . There was no association of the GSTP1 114 polymorphism with outcome in this patient sample data not shown.

If the fair value appears to be below the carrying value the Company considers all available evidence in assessing whether there is an other-than-temporary impairment. This evidence would include: the level of progress in the investee's scientific technology development of compounds; ongoing activity in collaborations with the investee; whether or not other substantial investee-specific adverse events have occurred which may cause a decline in value; analysis and valuation of comparable companies; and the overall financial condition of the investee and mirapex.
CONCLUSIONS Mortality and hospitalization rate of advanced CHF remain very high despite recent therapeutic progress. Major therapeutic and managed-care research is required. J Coll Cardiol 1999; 33: 734 ; 1999 by the American College of Cardiology.

Developed countries [13]. The high prevalence of the mixed cellularity subtype is similar to that reported for other low-income countries, but was not associated with poorer prognosis. Failures, in fact, were not related to the histological subtype and all of them occurred in children with systemic symptoms at diagnosis. Treatment results, although the follow-up time is still relatively short, are quite satisfactory in children with stages I, II and IIIA, suggesting that the treatment combination employed is not only feasible in countries with limited resources, but adequate for treating patients with these features when RT facilities are not available. In the interpretation of these results, it should also be taken into consideration that some of the patients who present with progression of disease might still be salvaged by non-cross-resistant therapy and that the stage of the disease in some of our patients may have been underestimated since neither computerized axial tomography nor bone biopsy were performed in the staging work-up. Large studies on childhood Hodgkin's disease in countries with limited resources are needed to define the appropriate staging procedure in a setting in which radiation is not a part of treatment. Results in patients with the more advanced stages IIIB or IV are not unlike those reported for other trials in which combined therapy was used [10]. It should be pointed out, however, that no definite conclusions can be drawn from our series because of the small number of patients and brief follow-up. Interestingly, two of the five patients who presented with extensive mediastinal disease failed treatment; these patients might thus benefit from combined therapy, as has been suggested in the literature [17]. Overall, the therapeutic schedule was well tolerated and definitely feasible in the context of a lowincome country such as Nicaragua. The information reported here, obtained from a study carried out in a low-income country and certainly useful for the treatment of patients in countries with limited resources, may be relevant also for treatment of children in developed countries. The possibility of omitting RT from treatment schedules in a substantial fraction of children with HD might in fact constitute a significant improvement in their quality of life, and is in accord with the current trend to reduce exposure to irradiation in patients with a and mitotane.

In a colorful U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit opinion, the three-judge panel held that, despite an absence of a fixed deadline in the Federal Arbitration Act "FAA" ; for filing a motion to remand an arbitral award for the purposes of obtaining a clarification, such motions must be filed within a "reasonable time" after the award, and in this case, 8 years was not a reasonable time. In 1995, an arbitration panel awarded the cedent .8 million against its reinsurers for asbestos-related losses arising under certain reinsurance contracts. The award provided that the reinsurers, including the Uruguayan state-owned reinsurer, El Banco de Seguros del Estado "Banco" ; , pay their shares of the award plus interest and attorneys' fees within 45 days. Any reinsurer who failed to do so was to post an irrevocable letter of credit "LOC" ; with the cedent for million "to secure payment of the ultimate liability in this matter." All of the reinsurers except Banco paid their shares within 45 days. Although Banco acknowledged its obligation to pay its 1, 000 share of the award plus interest and attorneys' fees, it obstinately resisted payment for over 6 years despite a court-issued writ of execution. Banco also steadfastly refused to post the million LOC, arguing that the panel only required and modafinil.

Mediated Ca2 transient and ICl Ca ; in rabbit myocytes have an absolute requirement for extracellular Ca2 , as similarly reported for INa-induced Ca2 release from the SR in guinea pig ventricular myocytes 24, 27 ; . To evaluate whether the Na Ca2 exchanger plays a role in INa-induced Ca2 release observed in rabbit ventricular myocytes, applications of a fast, efficient, and specific blocker for either Ca2 channels or Na Ca2 exchangers after the preconditioning pulses are required so that an adequate level of SR Ca2 store can be maintained. We tested the effects of KB-R7943, a relatively selective and potent inhibitor of the Na Ca2 exchanger IC50 0.32 M for reverse mode ; in guinea pig ventricular myocytes 46 ; on slow Ca2 transients elicited by long step depolarizations to 90 mV, which are believed to result from Ca2 influx through reverse-mode Na Ca2 exchange 3 ; . Unfortunately, these Ca2 transients were unaffected in rabbit ventricular myocytes after incubation with 1 n 8 ; KB-R7943. We therefore tested the effects of a selective polypeptide toxin blocker FS-2 ; and an inorganic blocker Cd2 ; of L-type Ca2 channels on ICa L ; with a fast flow superfusion system that allowed a complete exchange of the bathing solution within 300 ms. FS-2 showed a very slow onset of block 30 s, n and molindone.
When screening tools are completed, the team may consider several options to plan for the student with attention issues. Screening tools indicate some attention issues, but they are not considered significant. The team can utilize strategies outlined in this manual. No formal documentation is required. Screening tools indicate significant attention issues and the need for a 504 Plan to document accommodations interventions is recommended. See 504 manual for full procedures. Screening tools indicate significant attention issues and the possible need for specially designed instruction. The team can determine there is a need for further evaluation and pursue special education evaluation to consider Other Health Impaired as a disability. o Consent for evaluation is required when special education is being considered. o Conduct an evaluation to determine if the health impairment has adverse impact on his her learning.
